My Re-designed Logo (FINAL)

COLOURS
As you can see, all the four colours on the Malaysian flag could be found in the logo.
Red, Dark Blue, White,Yellow and Dark Brown.
Red - Strength, Bravery and Courage of Malaysian in facing challenges and red also represents the Chinese community in Malaysia.
Dark Blue - Unity and Harmony of the people of Malaysia.
White - Honesty and Integrity.
Yellow - The royal colour of the Rulers of Malaysia and also representing the Malays.
Dark Brown - represents the Indian people in Malaysia.
The BATIK DESIGN shows the creative side of the Malaysian. Although Batik is originally from Indonesia, Malaysian Batik is able to create its own unique and individual designs and made remarkable achievements all around the world. People now could differentiate between a Malaysian and Indonesian Batik through the designs itself.
The 'CANON LENS MADE IN JAPAN' acts like a stand for the camera lens.
Despite what had happened now and then, Malaysia still stands strong and are still united as one.

A brief history of Canon cameras.

1933 : Goro Yoshida and Sabura Uchida, his brother-in-law, wanted to make cameras to compete with the most advanced German models of the day so they founded Precision Optical Instruments Laboratry.

1934 : "Kwanon", Japan's first domestically-made 35mm focal plane shutter camera named after the Buddhist Goddess of Mercy.

1935 : "Canon" trademark registered.

1969 : Canon, inc. established.

1995 : Canon unveils the world's first zoom lens with image stabilization features.

Present : Canon keeps on producing high quality cameras, lenses and such to compete with other high ranked camera companies.

TOOLS USED

First, I used the Paintbrush Tool (B) to draw the batik design in the middle. I did them layer by layer so that later it wouldn't be difficult for me to add-on colours.

I did the yellow colour first followed by red, dark brown and then I changed the outer most outline of my design to dark blue.

I changed the paintbrush-like effect to Photoshop Effect's Artistic and chose Underpainting (since its a Batik design).

I did the circles using the Ellipse Tool (L), layer by layer and adjusted them to desired position. I also made the circles to different thickness so difference could be seen.

By using the Type Tool (T), I typed 'Canon Lens EF 50MM 1:1.4', went to Illustrator Effects's Warp and chose Arc. Adjust to desired position and locked it.

I made 'Canon Lens Made In Japan' into an arc just like last time and rotate it 180 degree. I placed it under the lens so that it could act like a stand.
